Twenty years ago combination of words urban decay meant nothing else than a dying city. Now it means so much more than that. It stands for quality alternatives, innovative performance products and experimental colors. It means that there are no limits for the independent spirits of the beauty world.

It was revolutionary when 20 years ago Urban Decay came out with it's first collection of lipsticks and nailpolishes consisting of blue, deep browns, greens, black and other colors to offset the pink and red that reigned the beauty market at the time. The brand has stayed true to itself and still offers top quality products in fun colors to satisfy the alternative needs of a make-up junkie.

For me this brand associates not only with crazy colors, but with a state of mind of not being afraid to experiment and embrace things you actually like, case in point, the hair buns you see me wearing in this post. And although I don't have bold makeup in this post, just a smokey eye and nude lip, the brand still gives me confidence just knowing what it stands for. It proves that cosmetics are so much more than just looks, it's basically a way of life.

And I'm so happy to say that this day has come and we will have an Urban Decay stand here in Riga, Latvia. Just two more days and on 31. of August I will have the chance to shop the new range of Vice lipsticks, because after trying out the Revolution lipgloss in LIAR I have faith and big expectations on their lip products. And yes, those eyeshadows blend too well to be real. I might have to indulge in one of the full size NAKED eye pallettes after testing them out on the spot in Galerija Centrs. Is there anything else you would recommend that you already use and love?
