Krāsas, smaržas, dārza veltes - viss, ko sirds vien kāro. Tad nu riskēju un nopirku plūmes, atbraucot mājās konstatēju, ka neesmu kļūdījusies - puse bija negatavas. Tādas ēst nevar - jācep. Very early, maybe too early, but I would be lying, if I said that I am upset, after all, autumn is THE season of the year, at least for me. I love the colors, smells and various seasonal foods, such as plums, apples, pumpkins and so on. So I bought plums and decided to bake them into one tasty pie. Read on for recipe.  


Mīkla:
Pēdējā laikā esmu sapratusi, ka nav vieglākas un padevīgākas mīklas kā klasiskā amerikāņu pīrāgu mīkla. Tā ir ātri pagatavojama, nepieprasa īpašas sastāvdaļas un darbarīkus. Šeit viss ir sīki un skaidri paskaidrots, gan kāpēc ir jādara konkrēta lieta, gan kā tā ir jādara. Vienīgi visa sajaukšanai es izmantoju rokas mikseri. 

Pildījums:
10-12 plūmes
1-2 saujas lielogu melleņu
1-2 galda karotes aprikožu ievārījuma (var izmantot arī citu ievārījumu)
2 kaltēti lavanadas ziedi un pāris dekorēšanai
1 galda karote miltu
1 ola
cukurs dekorēšanai

1. Sagriež plūmes, traukā sajauc ar mellenēm. Tad pievieno miltus un samaisa. 
2. No lavandas ziediem noņem tikai zilos ziediņus, tas ir, atdala tos no kāta un pievieno augļu masai.
3. Uz sagatavotas mīklas vienmērīgu izklāj ievārījumu, atstājot nelielu atstarpi no malas.
4. Virsū liek masu un augļus kārto pēc paša vēlmēm, atstājot 1-2 centimetru no malas. 
5. Malu uzloka un to klāj ar sakulto malu. Tad uz malām uzber nedaudz cukura.
6. Krāsnī 190C  cep aptuveni 40-50 minūtes. 
7. Ēd siltu vai atdzesētu.

I find this recipe of pie crust really helpful and explaining. It really is the recipe of the perfect pie crust. 

Filling:
10-12 plums
1-2 handfuls of blueberry
1-2 tbsp of apricot jam (or any other jam)
2 lavenders and more for decorating
1 tbsp flour
1 egg
sugar for sprinkling

1. Slice plums and in bowl mix with blueberries and flour.
2. Separate lavender from stem and mix in bowl.
3. Spread jam on dough, leaving few inches around edges.
4. Arrange plums and blueberries on dough, leaving few inches around the edges.
5. Fold up the edges of the crust, brush egg wash on it and sprinkle with some sugar.
6. Place in oven for about 40-50 minutes in 375F. 
7. Eat warm or cooled.
